The year is 2012, and I am throwing my hat back into the ring.
I am running for the 4th Congressional District of Missouri in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Libertarian. I'm an everyday person who graduated college last year. The person I'm running against in the primary happens to be a convicted felon (more on that later). For now, the platform I have chosen is one that makes the most sense.
- Freedom: Opposing the Patriot Act, SOPA, PIPA, CISPA, and other forms of legislation and executive orders that violate the rights of the citizenry.
- Economy: Advocating for the Federal Reserve to be placed under complete Congressional oversight with 100% transparency. Standing up for the farmers of the district by opposing any and all forms of mandatory animal tracking while standing up to the FDA in regards to raw milk consumption. Fight to end all software patents and place that stuff back in copyright where it belongs.
- Integrity: Opting out of any retirement or healthcare plans that are taken advantage of by others at the expense of the tax payers. Voting no on any Congressional pay raise. Following the Constitution to the letter.
That's all for now. Feel free to follow this blog for updates.
